Ok, we are not monks, we cannot leap in the air and fd mid fall...no no no, we must STOP while 80 mobs from hell are breathing down our backs, NOT get stunned (large races like to turn to face the mobs cause they cannot be stunned from the front...we poor humans and smaller get broken from the front just as easily as from that back), cast a 1.5 sec feign spell that MAY or may not get interrupted due to stuns or us just not stopping short enough while casting, and fall down to play dead at a mob's feet. We can only pray that we have the mana, cause SKs only get as many feigns as they got the juice to do it...

((So YES, this is a hint...SKs that are not troll/iksar cannot regen hp or mend like monks, and NEED mana....so enchanters with crack, druids and shammies with regen spells, take CARE of your sk pullers, they regen mana and hp back at 1/4 speed when feigned))

I used to just cast my feign spell gem blithely, I don't anymore...

Why?

A) Healers don't realize I am going to feign, and start healing me before feign....so even tho I successfully feign off the ten mobs on me, they go look for Dr. Strangelove the Cleric who healed me while I was awake.

B) if I have auto attack on, and i successfully feign?....the mobs don't GIVE a crap....I will continue to get pounded, and pounded hard.

So, I make a hotkey:
/attack off
/cast 7 (the spell gem I have feign in)
/groupsay Feigning off %t

This assures my group knows I am TRYING to feign or have NEED to feign, and also turns off any accidental swings of mine that will cause feign to fail

some other notes:

While I have SUCCESSFULLY feigned, feel free to heal me as much as you want.....once I am down for good, healing will not add you to the mobs hate list

Thorns and damage sheilds I BELIEVE (need to verify, but I seen it go bad before) bump up the sheildcaster onto the hate list when I feign myself off the hatelist, so I remove sheild buffs when I pull, this includes some ranger buffs that have a build in damage sheild. Nothing like successfully feigning off 5 mobs and watching them all book back to your camp after the mage with his damage sheild on you.

When pulling around water, sks and other feign pullers, if you dont have your own breath of the dead up, get someone to water breathe you JUST in case....nothing worse than successfully feigning but in a body of water so you drown to death rather than have the express train you pulled flatten you like a pancake.

Anti-Mez for the SK
-------------------

I don't know how many times I have rushed in to battle solo with enchanter mobs, such as the froglok noble or ghoul sage in Lower Guk, only to find that I "lose control of myself!" Gets annoying to just stand there doing nothing while the pesky mob sits and regens or calls some friends up to tell them he's having a party with me as the main course and asks if someone can bring a pizza over too.

Well, there's this great multi-purpose spell that Shadow Knights get at level 9-it's called disease cloud. It's a disease-based DoT that does only 60 damage, but over a LONG period of time (like 6 minutes). What's good about it? It's an amazing taunt spell. What's bad about it? Hopefully in multi-mob situations you don't cast it on the wrong mob, or the group chanter will get pissed at you since they won't be able to mez that mob for a long time... But then again this anti mez effect has a positive side too.

Why not cast disease cloud on yourself right before battle with a chanter mob? I gave this a whirl last night vs. the froglok noble and it worked like a charm. Damage taken from the DoT is minimal, and every time the noble manages to get off a mez, it's broken almost instantly by the damage over time from the Disease Cloud. Unfortunately this will inhibit your natural regen for a couple of minutes in game... but hey, depending on the game situation, the mez cancelling effect could possibly be much more valuable.
